You follow below steps to share a folder in Windows XP.

Steps:

1.  Click on Start Menu.
2. Then click on All Programs.
3. After that move mouse pointer on Accessories.
4. Then click on Windows Explorer. 
   
5. Then right click on your folder want to share.
6. Then click on Sharing and Security.
   
7. After that click on Sharing tab.
8. Then click on Share this folder on the network check box.
9. Then click on Ok button.
