How to set java_home in Windows XP?

You follow below steps to set java_home in Windows XP.

Steps:

1. Click on Start menu.
2. Then right click on My Computer icon and select properties .
3. After that Click on Advanced Tab.
4. Then Click on  Environment Variables button.
5. Then Under System Variable,click on New button.
6. After that Enter the variable name as JAVA_HOME.
7. Then Enter the variable value as the install path for the Development Kit(C:/j2sdk1.4.2)
8. Then Click on OK button.
9. Then Click on Apply button.
