How to change IP address in Windows XP?
You follow below steps to change IP address in Windows XP.
Steps:
- Click on Start Menu.
- Then click on Control Panel.
- After that click on Network Connections.
- Then Right click on the active Local Area Connection,and then click on Properties.
- After that Double-click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
- Then Click on Use the following IP address.
- Then Enter a false IP address like 123.123.123.123 ,and then press Tab button on your keyboard.The Subnet Mask section will populate with default numbers.
- Then click on OK button tow times.
- After that Right click on the active Local Area Connection,and then click on Properties.
- After that Double-click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
- Click on Obtain an IP address automatically.
- Then click on OK button.
