How to add a printer by IP address in Windows XP?
You follow below steps to add a printer by IP address in Windows XP.Steps:
- Click on Start Menu.
- Click on Control Panel.
- Then click on Printers and Other Hardware.
- After that click on Printer and Faxes.
- Opens the Printer and Faxes window in Left side given below the Printer task,then click on Add Printer.
- Then Add Printer wizard opens,and then click on Next button.
- Select the option that describes the printer you want to use:For ex. click on Local printer attached to this computer.
- After that click on Next button,and then click on Next button again.
- Then Click on Create a new port option button and select Type of port(Standard TCP/IP Port),and then click on Next button.
- After that Standard TCP/IP Port wizard opens,Enter Printer name or IP Address & Port Name.
- Then Click on Next button.
- Select Device Type Standard and then click on Next button.
- Then Select Device Port and then Click on Next button.
- After that click on Finish Button.
