How to merge two partitions in Windows XP?

You follow below steps to merge two partitions in Windows XP.

Steps:


  1. Click on Start menu and click on "Control Panel".
  2. Then click on “Performance and Maintenance" option.
  3. After that click on"Administrative Tools".
  4. In the "Administrative Tools" section,click on"Computer Management" option.
  5. Then click on "Disk Management".
  6. Then select the one drive you want to merge (e.g. disk D :).
  7. After that right click on selected drive and select "Delete Volume".
  8. Then select your drive C: and the option "Extend Volume". You computer will automatically select empty available spaces on your hard disk and you can alter them if you wish to do so.



This is how you can merge two partitions in Windows XP.
