You follow below steps to boot into safe mode in windows xp.

steps:

• Restart your computer.
• Press F8 Key until you see advanced options menu.
• Select safe mode & press Enter key.

•  After that choose the operating system you want to boot .For ex.Microsoft windows xp.

• Then files load automatically.

• Log onto the Administrator account,Type password &  press enter key or click on the green arrow. 

Login window

• Then open the dialog box after that Click Yes to enter Safe Mode. Click No to launch System Restore.
